Today is crucial for your summit success. Rather than sleeping higher, you'll climb to Mawenzi Hut (4,330m) before returning to sleep at Horombo – the "climb high, sleep low" principle that dramatically increases summit chances. The trail passes through fields of giant lobelias and groundsels, plants that look like they belong on another planet.
